Hang 10 with the Crochet Wave Stitch
Let me tell you about one of my new favorite techniques that’s gonna make you look like a total pro – the Wave Stitch. Trust me, it looks way more complicated than it actually is. We’re talking about a stitch pattern that uses just two super simple moves – half double crochet and slip stitch – but creates this absolutely gorgeous, wavy pattern that’ll make everyone think you’ve been crocheting for years. Seriously, it’s like magic, but with yarn!
Want to make a blanket that looks like it could hang in a modern art gallery? Or a scarf that’ll have your friends begging you to make one for them? The Wave Stitch is your new bestie. Just grab those colors you’re obsessed with and watch the magic happen. No crazy complicated instructions, no stress – just you, your hook, and some seriously cool textile art in the making. How cool is that?

STITCH MULTIPLE: The Wave Stitch can be worked over a chain multiple of 10 + 1. Adjust as needed for the desired width.
PATTERN NOTES:
- Carry colors not in use up the side of the work.
- Practice keeping your gauge loose while working on this stitch – do not over tighten you slip stitches or you will have trouble working into them on the next row.
