Classic granny squares are constructed of 3-dc groups worked in the round. Additional groups are added by working in the spaces between groups. The result is a sweet little square with endless possibilities. A simple granny square can turn into a bag, pillow, sweater, or anything else your heart desires. Make multiple granny squares to put a different spin on these projects.

The very first crochet project I ever completed was a camouflage granny square afghan. It was hideous and full of mistakes but I so was proud of myself. Since then, I learned several tips and tricks to make the perfect granny square every time, and I’m excited to share that knowledge with you!
